We stayed here for only one night. We drove our rental Tuk Tuk here. They do have a big packing space! The host was super nice! He showed us multiple rooms and allowed us to pick which room we preferred with the same price. The room was clean! The internet works better outside or on the first floor. We picked the room on the third floor, so the internet did not work very well in the room. The room had a hot shower! The price that we paid for the room included breakfast which was Western and Sri Lankan style. Be careful of monkeys especially on the third floor! The host did warn us not to leave anything outside because of monkeys. There are also peacocks walking around! The host speaks English very well so he can help you with any recommendations on what to do around the area or if you have any questions. Highly recommended!

This is probably one of the most special and beautiful places in Sri Lanka. The couple who run the hotel are super helpful und friendly. You will feel at home instantly and the nature surrounding this place is just breathtaking. Absolutely would recommend this hotel!!😍😊

I cannot recommend this place enough, it is the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. The host is the friendliest person with fantastic recommendations of beautiful walks, massages and just great to chat to. The rooms are basic but very clean and beds are comfy. My partner and I drove our own tuk tuk around Sri Lanka and our clutch broke on a small country road, the host organised a technician to come and fix it straight away so we were able to hit the road again the next day. Stay here for a wonderful experience that is great value for money and with a delicious breakfast.

The owner is super kind!Very helpful. Room clean,AC+fan,hot shower, enough space with share terrace,wiew to the jungle(you can see monkeys, birds and other animals)perfect location-10m Lion Rock,100m main road,5m walk to restaurants. Also good Sri Lanka breakfast.

Very happy with my experience here. I stayed for two nights with my husband, and we had a lovely time. It’s only a short walk to Sigiriya main entrance (around 15 min). Very quiet place, feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. The host was welcoming and helpful. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit and some local specialties.

Arrivé le 08 septembre 2022,seul,dans une chambre impec et simple la 07.patron et patronne adorables,petit déjeuner du coin , très bien servi avec le sourire et la gentillesse souhaitée quand on a fait 3 heures de car. Je répète chambre simple et très propre avec moustiquaire.Le cadre, jungle,avec les singes a portée de la main, expérience inoubliable. Il y a un chien,un pépère tranquille,un peu gros et complètement inoffensif .

Hôtel très propre, agréable et très proche du rocher du lion ! Nous avons été accueillis comme des rois, nos hôtes étaient vraiment géniaux et toujours là !!! Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié ! Nous y avons passé un excellent moment ! Merci beaucoup !

Hospitality is as wonderful as the Lodge itself
The Lion Lodge had incredibly beautiful hosts who were super generous and always around to help out. The breakfast each morning was delicious and always served with a smile! It’s in a great location for day trips to national parks or amazing land marks.Would highly recommend to singles, couples and families!

Très bon séjour
Très bonne situation, à quelques minutes à pied du Lion rock. Le boss est très sympathique. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Endroit très agréable. Bon petit déjeuner. Bons restaurants dans les alentours. Endroit idéal pour faire des visites à Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa et faire un safari dans un des parcs nationaux.

Super Host, great location
We went to Sigiri Lion Lodge to discover the Sigiriya Rock. It was a fantastic place to sleep over. You can reach the gate to get to the Lions Rock by 15min walking. The accommodation is basic but has all you need, a comfy bed and a great and rich breakfast. You can choose on what time you want the breakfast served and it is freshly prepared and very nice.The host is just amazing! Any question you have he is more then happy to answer and support you at your stay or with your further travel!Can really recommend this place.

Close to Lion rock entrance ticket office
Located under one kilometre from the foreigners entry ticket office. Neatly and systematically maintained budget hotel. Friendly staff. There are a plenty of restaurants close by. I left very early in the morning & did not eat breakfast.

Perfect stay
We had such a lovely stay here - the room was clean and such a peaceful setting with a table on the balcony where we had a delicious breakfast! The main highlight was the hosts, who were so so helpful and arranged everything we were looking for perfectly (airport transfer, onward car, tuktuks, safari to see elephants!!). The lodge is a short walk from town, which is easily walkable (at night the road is quite dark so we took a 100 rupee tuktuk back) and is a short distance from Sigiriya (for both the fortress and Pedurangula). Would definitely recommend!!

Очень отзывчивый и милый хозяин, цена-качество, очень чистая комната со всеми удобствами! Рядом в 10 минутах на машине Львиная скала. Завтрак приготовил отличный. Так же может помочь с экскурсиями на должном уровне! Хочется вернуться!

Relaxing stay!
We spent one night at Sigiri Lion Lodge and we really enjoyed it! The room was spacious and nicely decoraeted with wooden furniture. The balcony was super nice to relax with a nice view where our delicious breakfast was served the next day. The owners are very nice and helpful, and the Sigirya site is only 10-15mn walking away. Bars and restaurants are only a couple of minutes walking away. For a cheap price, it's highly recommended!

a great stay, in an ideal location, with fantastic hosts!
☺ the property was well laid out, and very clean and well kept. My wife and I stayed there from 04.06.22-06.06.22. Ajith and his wife did an incredible job to make sure my wife and I had a great time while staying with them. Their level of service went above and beyond with Ajith allowing me to use his phone to help arrange excursions, and even being our taxi service to several events as well as to our next stop on our trip. this is one of the best, if not THE BEST hostel we’ve ever stayed at on the basis of how lovely all the hosts and staff were to us during our stay. The breakfasts are also incredible! I’m an absolute pig and I struggled to finish all the lovely food they provided for us. Thankyou Ajith for a great stay. The whole time we have stayed in Sri Lanka we have found it a safe and great place to travel, and encourage anyone to visit here.

Delicious breakfast and welcoming host
☺ Excellent breakfast (best that we had in Sri Lanka I must say!). The room was comfortable and spacious and the property is in close proximity to Sigiriya UNESCO site. If you are lucky you will spot an elephant taking a bath in the village river.
☹ We didn't appreciate the nearby Eco Park as an option for a safari. There was not a great feel about the whole experience and now that I can compare it to a Safari in a National Park of Udawalawe I know I wouldn't have gone into the Eco Park again (felt very much money orientated rather than animal focused). Also, the driver that took us to the park didn't care much as we left after an hour. He then claimed he had issues with petrol. Oh well... I don't think so and also he could have said something before we left.
